Standout Goodison moments/memories

Duncan Ferguson’s goal against Manchester United—that 1-0 win basically got us into the Champions League. Rooney’s goal against Arsenal, Lee Carsley scoring against Liverpool... those are moments that stay with you.”
David Moyes

“Brings a tear to your eye... To look back on the incredible history, the goals, the wonderful experiences with the fans.”
Duncan Ferguson

Kevin Sheedy sees Andy Gray making a run down the inside. Sheedy plays it in to Andy Gray. Andy has the foresight to see Trevor Steven making a run, and plays it forward for Trevor to chip the keeper — making it 3-1. Bayern Munich... we're through! The place went crackers!

Playing for Everton was an honour. Every time you walk through that tunnel, down those steps, up those steps, you hear the noise and Z-Cars comes on — you get the hairs standing up on the back of your neck.

Imagine being one of the lads to play the final game at Goodison. Nobody can take the memories of Goodison away from you. This was the best place in the world. You couldn't beat it.
Peter Reid

“[We’ve been] just a tiny spec in what the ground has been experiencing for 133 years. Hard to believe this is coming to an end.”
Leon Osman
